Mommy’s Day Out

Do you have a friend who’s just spontaneous, flexible, and adventurous? That type of friend that hen you say “let’s try doing something new,” they jump on it without hesitation. Well, this day we made it happen. We took our wonderful kids to explore Harbor East here in Baltimore, Maryland.  First of all, can we just soak in this beautiful view? Isn’t it gorgeous? That’s exactly how I felt on this day. Beautiful perfect weather with great company. You can’t beat that!

Perfect is an understatement on how this day was. We got a great spot to park our cars and it was ten dollars for the whole day (wow! That’s rare to find downtown). We went to some department stores to look around because we both love the vibe in the city. We then walked to Whole Foods and grabbed lunch because we planned to have a picnic looking right outside the water. Everyone loved our babies. Seeing two women in a store with their kids (two in strollers and the other two being carried in a baby carrier) must be very fascinating. People kept staring at us with huge smiles on their faces and our two toddlers almost caused traffic in one of the stores we went to. It was very lovely to see and we had a nice time picking our lunch together then headed to have a picnic.

Overall, you can’t help it but have a huge smile on your face. The kids loved it, they ate good, beautiful scenery, and having the two moms there to them was icing on the cake. I am very thankful for moments like this with our daughters. It’s humbling and joyful to have great friends who are on the journey you’re taking and always pushing you to be better. I encourage moms out there to find other moms who you can stroll in the park with and build great relationships.

Must Have Skin Care Baby Products

AB68133C-F8AD-439C-B499-3AC9D35C69A6
Today I am going to be talking about some of my favorite baby products that I love to use on my two princesses. As most of you know, I have an almost two year old, and I have been using the same products on her since she was born. Now having our new edition who is two months already (Wow! Time really flies by quick), I am also using the same products on her as I did when my toddler was a baby baby. These items have worked for me and I find myself going back to it because I believe that, if you find something that works for you, just stick with it.

AD1680D1-FAB4-4B85-9B2B-1791B62297B81. Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion. This lotion is the fragrance free for my two month old. Like I said, I used this particular one for the toddler when she was a baby so I find it very smooth on their bodies and that’s why it’s my “go to” lotion for babies. I love the fact that it is paraben free and phthalate free. This lotion contains natural colloidal oatmeal which helps to protect delicate skin. It leaves skin moisturized for twenty-four hours. My baby’s skin feels soft, smooth, and healthy. My mom recently even complimented her skin and she asked me what I use on her body.

2. Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion. This Lotion is lavender and vanilla scented which also comes with natural colloidal oatmeal and also leaves skin moisturized for twenty-four hours and helps calm babies before bedtime. I love the scent of this lotion and, when people give my toddler a hug, they usually tell her that she smells good. Now the secret is out 🙂 This also comes in a bath format and it contains everything the lotion has including tear free which is important to me.

3. Baby Vaseline. I can say so much on this right here because I carry it in my purse 24/7. When my toddler had a bad diaper rash, I tried so many products even to the extent of going to the pharmacist. Nothing worked until my older brother told me to go back to the old school method. This means putting on Vaseline and letting her walk around with no underwear or diaper around the house. I did this for two days and you won’t believe the drastic change that happened. Everything went away and it left the affected area very smooth. Since then, I use this product SO MUCH!

4. Johnson’s Baby Oil. This product is just amazing that the entire family uses it. It works so well and we love how it feels on our bodies. I use it a lot on baby Promises’ hair because it just smells good. It’s also Paraben free and dermatologist tested. Once your body is moisturized, it leaves skin soft and silky.

We have come to the end of today’s blog and I am very thankful for each of them. Leave a comment below and tell me which of these products is your favorite and why. Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll catch you in my next one.

It’s Been An Amazing Week

2F552B33-22D0-4E5B-AE52-4A3A471FF398

What an awesome, wonderful week I’ve had with so many kids getting their lives changed. This past weekend, we also watched a veteran who has never owned a home receive his first home. It was such a blessing and an honor to be able to host another year and see lives changed, especially in this generation. We hosted four girls this year and they always leave a note for their host homes. Here’s a picture of one of the notes that touched my heart.

Anyway, the whole event was very successful because it was a teamwork and everyone worked hard in different areas.

After the successful week, hubby and I took the kids for the first time to New York to visit some friends.  We spent quality time together on the ride, which was about three hours to get there. We caught up with our friend Melissa who was also at the youth conference my church had this past week. I guess we didn’t get enough of her time so we decided to go spend some time with her. We are forever thankful for Melissa and all she did for us with making our trip a memorable one.

We then caught up with a great friend of mine whom I’ve known since college and I was also in her wedding. Now, we both are happily married with kids. It was just lovely to catch up and the kids enjoyed each other’s company. We ate great food and had great company and beautiful sceneries. These are moments I cherish and won’t forget. Hence to why I take so many pictures and document them for our kids so that, when they get older, they can always look back to see what daddy and mommy were up to while they were little.

Most of the trip was vlogged and will be coming out on my YouTube channel this Saturday so be on the lookout. Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the pictures.

Thanks for reading and I will catch you in my next one.
